WHAT TO WEAR

I recommend bringing a minimum of two outfits and a maximum of six. We may not have time to get to each one, but this will give us options to play around with. Longer sessions will obviously allow for more time, so for example, please don’t expect to be able to get six outfits in if you booked the Bare session. It's sometimes nice to do a lighter style (lace maybe) and a darker style (black), but overall, stick to what you are confident in! You can even do nude or implied nude as one option. Cute kimonos, sweaters, and loungewear that you feel cute at home in are great options too. Bodysuits and high waisted undies are flattering on any body type!

Try to not wear a bra or tight undies a few hours before your shoot in order to avoid lines on your skin. It's best to wear looser leggings or sweatpants with no undies and a bigger shirt with no bra. If you want to do nude or implied nude for one of your look, we will need to start with those to avoid lines. I know it sounds scary to dive into things like that, but it's a quick way to loosen up and get comfy. Try not to be nervous; this will be fun!

A few of my favorite places to get lingerie are: H&M, Aerie, Forever 21, Free People, Amazon, Asos, Nasty Gal, Target

PRE-SHOOT DAY TIPS!

PRE-SHOOT DAY TIPS!

  • Get a good nights sleep -- it will make a difference!

  • Drinks LOTS of water the days leading up to the shoot.

  • Moisturize your skin and exfoliate your lips (you can just rub your toothbrush on them).

  • Stretch ahead of time! I'll be putting you in some poses that you may not be in often so this will avoid being sore later.

  • Plan & gather your things the night before so that you don't feel rushed in the morning and you can be on time.

  • Avoid over-tanning or spray tans! Your skin will look orange in the photos!

  • Wear a tad more makeup than you're used to. It won't look as heavy in the camera! There are pros and cons to hiring a makeup artist. If you do it yourself, you know what you like and will know what to expect! If you hire someone, you’ll feel pampered getting all dolled up and it will be one less thing you have to worry about that day! If you go this route, please be careful to do your research and hire someone that you trust. Thoroughly look through their portfolio and be sure to communicate your wants clearly so that you don’t end up leaving feeling very unlike yourself.

BE POSITIVE!

First off, no negative self talk! We all have certain things that we have trouble loving about ourselves, but today is the day to try to let go of those…or at least begin to! When you are getting ready and looking at yourself in the mirror, try giving yourself compliments instead of focusing on what you don’t like. If I hear you talk negatively about yourself during the shoot, I may just make you say three positive things about yourself for each negative comment you make <3

Aim to have the entire day off so that your mind isn’t clouded with anything else. Listen to some of your favorite feel good music on the way to the shoot. Try not to let any nerves get the best of you. I will walk you through everything throughout the entire shoot, so don't worry about a thang :)
