Herbal remedies are a healthy addition to a daily wellness routine due to their ability to support our body’s natural healing response. The effects of each concoction will depend on the amount and frequency taken, as well as the individual taking them. My herbal creations are made in small batches using herbs I grew organically in my garden or sustainably foraged in or near Marshall, North Carolina.

Herbs have changed my life and my goal is to spread awareness on the power of plants and how they heal us when we work with them. Please click the “+” to see a description of each offering.

Disclaimer: I consider myself a self taught folk herbalist. I am not a licensed medical professional. My advice and knowledge is based off extensive research, education, and my own experiences with these herbs. Please follow up with your own research and take responsibility for your own health decisions. Much love.

  • People often underestimate the medicinal magic of oregano, simply limiting it to adding flavor in the kitchen. This potent little bottle of goodness is packed with mighty powers.

Oregano is a life saver in our house, particularly in those fall and winter months where sickness seems to creep in more often. Known for its antioxidant, anti-inflammatory, and antimicrobial properties — she helps keep sickness at bay, along with other benefits:

    • Supports digestive health

    • Calms colds and coughs

    • Boosts immune system function

    • Reduces inflammation

    • Fights off microbial infections

    • Used topically on minor wounds, bug bites, and stings

Instructions: Take 1-2 dropper fulls 2-3 times a day when you feel the first signs of cold / flu symptoms coming on or take daily as a preventative during times when you might be around someone who is sick. Not recommended to take more than 2 weeks at a time, as it can affect your gut’s good bacteria along with the bad bacteria, much like an antibiotic. You can take directly or add to water, tea, juice, etc.

Ingredients: organic oregano grown in my garden, organic cane alcohol, organic vodka

  • Tulsi, or Holy Basil, is an herb originating from India known as "the incomparable one" due to its sacred status, spiritual significance, and versatile healing properties in Ayurvedic medicine. Revered for over 5,000 years, Tulsi is considered a goddess in plant form, believed to bring health, renewal, and spiritual power. Modern science confirms many of its ancient uses, one being that it is an adaptogen that helps your body and mind adapt more easily to stress & anxiety.

Here is a more elaborate list of what holy basil is known to help with:

    • Reduces stress and anxiety by lowering cortisol levels & the bioactive compounds in the herb regulate the hypothalamic-pituitary-adrenal (HPA) axis, which controls the body's stress response

    • Protects against cell damage from free radicals and oxidative stress

    • Improves mental clarity and focus

    • Supports respiratory health; may help alleviate symptoms of asthma and bronchitis

    • Boosts immune system

    • Blood sugar regulation; may help lower blood sugar levels in people with diabetes.

Cardiovascular support; research suggests it can lower blood pressure and cholesterol levels.

Instructions: Take 1-2 droppers full 2-4 times a day. You can take directly or add to water, tea, juice, etc. Do not take while pregnant.

Ingredients: organic holy basil grown in my garden, organic cane alcohol, organic vodka

  • Treat your face to a deep cleanse with this matcha clay mask (with a hint of calming lavender and oatmeal).

    • Detoxifies and purifies the skin by drawing out impurities and excess oil

    • Calms inflammation and redness with its antioxidant and anti-inflammatory properties

    • Fights acne by clearing clogged pores and killing bacteria

    • Improves skin texture & supports the skin's natural renewal process to firm the skin and prevent premature aging

Instructions: Mix 2 teaspoons with just enough water to make a paste (doesn’t take much!). You can also mix with diluted apple cider vinegar, but my skin is sensitive to that. You can also add raw honey. Make it as simple or fancy as you’d like! After making the paste, apply to skin and let sit for about 10 minutes or until dry. Do not leave on long after drying, as it may cause your skin to dry out. Wash off with a damp cloth, etc, and follow up with some type of moisturizer. Please note: your face might start to tingle while on — this is okay!; your face will likely be flushed from stimulation & blood circulation after the mask but it will go away; the day after you may experience small bumps from your skin purging — this is a good thing but please plan accordingly if you have an event etc.

Ingredients: organic matcha, organic bentonite clay, organic lavender, organic oatmeal

  • This healing oil is the perfect addition to your medicine cabinet!

    Some of it’s magic:

    • Helps heal burns, cuts, scratches, and scrapes (hello clumsy kiddos!)

    • Historically known as "knitbone", it speeds up the recovery process for sprains, bruises, broken bones, torn ligaments and other related injuries

    • Relief for sore muscles and joints

    • Arthritis relief

Please note: Do not put on deep wounds and wait until any bleeding has dried (and you’ve cleaned the area) before applying. Comfrey is such a powerful cell regenerating herb that it can potentially seal the surface before deeper tissues have had a chance to clean and regenerate, leading to an abscess. Do not take orally.

Ingredients: organic olive oil, organic comfrey, organic dandelion, a hint of organic tea tree essential oil

  • Another first aid kit must have! If I were trapped on a desert island and allowed only one herb, yarrow would be my sole companion. Some of the ways she can help:

    • Helps stop bleeding when applied topically

    • Supports women's health, particularly with menstrual cramps and heavy periods

    • Can reduce fevers by inducing sweating when put into hot tea (peppermint is a good tea choice for this)

    • Helps to stimulate and move the lymph in the body, getting rid of excess mucus, which can help move toxins through the system

    • Aids in digestion after meals

Instructions: Take 1-1.5 droppers full up to 3 times a day internally to help treat issues described above. You can take directly or add to water, tea, juice, etc. To help stop bleeding, put a few drops on affected area (will have a burning sensation due to the alcohol but this will also help clean).

Ingredients: organic yarrow grown in my garden, organic cane alcohol, organic vodka
